Making Friends
From the moment you walk through the door at Tabernacle, the people you meet will make you feel welcome. Shortly after you arrive we will want to know you and your family by name. You will soon see that the people at Tabernacle are not just friendly, but we care about one another like family.
Many of our people hang out in the auditorium after a service catching up with old friends and making new ones. When you attend one of our Sunday morning Bible electives, before the lesson begins the teacher will ask for prayer requests from the class. Our Life Groups provide an opportunity for us to get to know each other even better. Throughout the year we have a number of opportunities to connect such as church dinners, picnics, men’s breakfasts, and events for women. Tabernacle is a good place to make friends.
Meeting God
While we want to get to know you, we also want you to get to know God. If you do not have a relationship with God, we would like to show you from the Bible what God has done in Jesus Christ. God loved the world so much that He sent His Son, Jesus, to die so that all who trust in Him might have true joy in knowing Him. It brings great peace to know from the Bible that God has made a way for imperfect people like us to be made right with Him.
We will be your friends, but God is the one whom we all need most. All that this life can offer─money, power, temporal pleasures, and more─pales in comparison to knowing God. Only He can bring true joy and meaning to our lives.
